TERMS & CONDITIONS

QUOTATIONS & PRICING

All quotations are valid for 30 days. Prices are listed in AUD and include GST. Shipping and delivery are additional, confirmed for each order based on the piece(s) shipped and destination.

Dusken may adjust pricing from time to time without prior notice.

PAYMENT

A 50% deposit is required to confirm an order, with the balance due prior to release of goods. As production begins shortly after confirmation, deposits are non-refundable on made-to-order pieces. Goods remain the property of Dusken until paid in full. Payment is accepted via bank transfer.

CUSTOMISATION

Dusken’s fabrication framework is designed for adaptation, and customisation within the framework is encouraged. Modifications outside standard specifications may be possible, but usually incur additional design fees and longer lead times. We welcome requests in writing and will confirm what is possible.

MATERIALS & VARIATION

Natural materials such as timber will exhibit variation in tone, grain, and finish. These variations are inherent to the material and are considered by Dusken to be desirable traits, not faults.

Surface finishes may shift subtly over time as the material responds to light, heat, and humidity. These changes are part of the life of the piece and are to be expected. They do not affect structural integrity and are not grounds for return or replacement.

LEAD TIMES

Made-to-order pieces typically require around 6 weeks for production and assembly. In-stock pieces are generally shipped within 5 business days of payment.

Order-specific indicative lead times are provided at the time of order and commence once the deposit has been received. Completion may be affected by material availability, production schedules, or seasonal demand.

While every effort is made to meet the dates provided, lead times are estimates rather than guarantees. Dusken will communicate promptly if circumstances arise that may affect delivery.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Listed prices for in-stock pieces include delivery Australia-wide. Shipping and handling for made-to-order projects are calculated as part of the quotation.

International delivery is available. Please contact info@dusken.com to discuss options.

Standard delivery covers ground-floor access during business hours. Additional charges may apply where access is restricted (stairs, lifts, docks) or specialised handling is required.

Dusken pieces are shipped complete – not flat-packed or sub-assembled. Clients are responsible for ensuring adequate access to the intended destination. A pre-delivery inspection service is available for potentially complex sites, at additional cost.

Tracking details will be provided once goods are dispatched. While transit times are outside Dusken’s control, we work with carriers experienced in handling fine furniture to ensure safe arrival.

If delivery cannot be completed due to access or scheduling issues, storage and redelivery fees may apply. Orders not accepted within 7 days of completion may also incur storage charges.

INSPECTION & DAMAGES

All Dusken pieces are carefully inspected before dispatch. On delivery, clients are responsible for checking that works have arrived in the manner intended. Any damage must be reported to Dusken in writing within 48 hours, supported by photographs. Claims outside this period may not be accepted.

Dusken is not responsible for damage caused by couriers, third-party handlers, improper unpacking, installation, or unauthorised repair work. Environmental exposure such as direct sunlight, moisture, or excessive heat may also affect materials and is not covered.

In the rare event that goods arrive damaged in transit, all packaging must be retained to assist with assessment and any applicable freight claims.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Each Dusken piece is designed to last for decades of use when properly maintained. A Care Guide is available and should be followed to preserve finishes and structural integrity. Failure to follow reasonable care instructions may affect warranty coverage.

RETURNS

Dusken offers a 30-day return period on In-Stock pieces. Items must be in original condition and returned in their original packaging. Return freight and insurance are the responsibility of the client. Refunds are processed once the returned item has been received and inspected.

As each piece is crafted specifically for the client, returns are not available on made-to-order pieces.

CANCELLATIONS

Orders may be cancelled in writing within 48 hours of confirmation.

After this period, cancellations may be subject to a 35% administration fee, along with any costs already incurred in production.

Dusken reserves the right to cancel an order at its discretion, in which case all payments received will be refunded in full.

WARRANTY

Dusken guarantees the structural integrity of its furniture for two years from the date of delivery, under normal residential use.

Natural materials such as timber will continue to respond to their environment over time. Under conditions outside the norm such as prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, underfloor heating, fireplaces, vents, high humidity or contact with water, timber may move, shrink, expand, bow or split. These behaviours are inherent to the material and are not covered under warranty. Surface finishes are likewise subject to everyday wear. Scratches, scuffs, dents and marks from normal use fall outside warranty coverage.

Dusken finishes its timber with Rubio Monocoat, a low-VOC oil that bonds at a molecular level. Unlike many high-build coatings, it often allows for localised spot-sanding and refinishing, so minor marks can be addressed over the life of the piece. This makes ongoing care and maintenance possible in a way that aligns with Dusken’s commitment to longevity.

If a warranty issue arises within the coverage period, Dusken will repair or replace the item at its discretion. Claims must be submitted in writing with proof of purchase and supporting photographs.

This warranty is offered in addition to rights and remedies provided under Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by law, Dusken is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of its products. Remedies under this document are limited to repair or replacement as set out in the Warranty section. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts the rights and remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.

GENERAL

These Terms and Conditions form the entire agreement between Dusken and the client in relation to the supply of goods. Dusken may update these Terms from time to time without prior notice. Clients are responsible for compliance with all laws and regulations relevant to the installation, maintenance and use of Dusken products. These Terms are offered in addition to, and do not limit, rights and remedies provided under Australian Consumer Law.
